Das Team von ma.lo konnte in der Nordtiroler Gemeinde Vomp ein neues Kinderbetreuungszentrum realisieren.
Das Bauwerk ergänzt den Schulbau der Mittelschule. So finden in direkter Umgebung zu dieser Bildungsstätte nun auch Kinder im Alter von 1 1/2 bis 6 Jahren einen Betreuungsplatz.
Die längsorientierte Gebäudegeometrie reagiert direkt auf die Topographie des Grundstückes. Und sie ermöglicht sehr spannende Blickbeziehungen und Raumkonfigurationen.
Über eine Rampe gelangt man in den Eingangsbereich des Gebäudes – dieser befindet sich im Obergeschoß. Ebenda finden auch Kinderkrippe, die Leitung und ein großzügiger Bewegungsraum Platz. Treppab kommt man in einen multifunktionalen Raum: bewegliche Garderobenmöbel, eine Kochinsel, ein roter Vorhang und Niveausprünge lassen hier unterschiedliche Nutzungsszenarien zu. Die Decke ist teilweise aus Glas gefertigt, wodurch sich Blicke in den Bewegungsraum und schöne Belichtungssituationen ergeben. Die Gruppenräume sind dann direkt an diesen zentralen Raum angehängt. Prägend für dieses Kinderbetreuungszentrum sind auch die Aussenbereiche: alle Gruppen haben einen direkten Gartenzugang, die Kinderkrippe verfügt über eine großzügige Terrasse.

The ma.lo team has completed a new childcare centre in the North Tyrolean municipality of Vomp.
The building complements the secondary school building. Children aged between 1½ and 6 years now have a place to be looked after in the immediate vicinity of this educational institution. The longitudinal geometry of the building responds directly to the topography of the site. It also allows for very exciting visual connections and room configurations.
A ramp leads to the entrance area of the building, which is located on the upper floor. This is also where the early childhood education, the management offices and a spacious exercise room are located. A staircase leads down to a multifunctional room: movable coat rack furniture, a cooking island, a red curtain and level changes allow for a variety of usage scenarios. The ceiling is partly made of glass, allowing views into the exercise room and creating beautiful lighting conditions. The group rooms for childcare are directly attached to this central space. The outdoor areas are also a defining feature of this childcare centre: all groups have direct access to the garden, and the early childhood education has a spacious terrace.
